Why attend?
Cyber security – it’s a pressing business priority. That’s because UK firms of all sizes are proving to be top targets for today’s cyber criminals. According to PwC, one-in-four UK companies suffered a cyber breach in the past two years. From ransomware to spear phishing and large-scale data theft, today’s enterprise is well and truly under assault.
No surprise, then, that today’s UK businesses want to ensure their highly connected and digitised IT infrastructures are secure – so mission-critical data and communications aren’t compromised. But cyber criminals are constantly innovating - and they’re on the look-out for ageing enterprise infrastructures and potential vulnerabilities that offer the ideal entry point.
Cisco’s Annual Security Report 2016 found that around 92% of internet devices are running known vulnerabilities, while 31% were no longer supported or maintained by the supplier – perfect for exploitation by cyber criminals.
Protecting the perimeter from external attack represents a challenge. Because a point product approach to security no longer offers sufficient coverage needed to detect all the risks.
But that’s not all. Organisations also need policies in place to mitigate internal threats – like viruses or malware inadvertently introduced by staff in a mouse click.
Going into lock down isn’t the answer. But there is a way to manage the risk and maintain business agility.
Join us at our Cyber Security event and get the low down on the security steps you can take.
